Please join us on Wednesday March 16^th for a day at the Minnesota Capitol.  The top priority for all of the veteran organizations is bonding money for our five state Veteran Homes.  All of them – Silver Bay, Fergus Falls, Luverne, Hastings and Minneapolis have deferred maintenance and upgrades that need to be funded.  The Minneapolis Veterans Home also has an unsafe and now closed bridge that needs to be replaced.  There isn’t any real or organized opposition to funding for our veterans homes, but your state representatives and state senators need to hear from you and know this is important for our veterans and their spouses.  Since many have expressed interest, we will be meeting at 9am in the Hopkins VFW parking lot and car pooling to the capital.
